Blepharoplasty
Blepharoplasty, also known as eyelid surgery, is a cosmetic surgery performed to improve
the appearance of the face by removing excess skin, muscle and fat around the eyelids. This surgery results in a rejuvenated facial appearance, making you look more refreshed and alert.
Eyelid surgery can correct the following:
- Puffiness in the upper eyelids resulting from excess fat deposits
- Loose or sagging skin that disturbs the natural contour of the upper eyelid
- Fine wrinkles of the lower eyelid resulting from excess skin
- Bags under the eyes
- Droopiness of the lower eyelids
If you suffer from any of the above, you may be a good candidate for blepharoplasty.
Blepharoplasty Recovery & Results
Your final eyelid surgery results will appear within several weeks, but it may take up to a year for incision lines to fully refine.
While eyelid surgery can be expected to correct certain conditions permanently, you will continue to age naturally. Life-long sun protection will help to maintain your results.
